| David Sokolsky started in photography with black and white darkroom printing at the Patent Trader a local newspaper serving Northern Westchester County in New York State. By taking classes and hands on experience David became a master black and white darkroom printer. In the autumn of 1992 David went on to study photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York and graduated in1996 with a bachelor of fine arts degree in commercial advertising photography. David Sokolsky first started taking photographs professionally for the Patent Trader newspaper, and the Journal News newspaper in White Plains respectively. During July and August 2003 David exhibited ‘Walks of Life ‘ a collection of wildlife photographs taken throughout the continental United States at Audubon Greenwich in Greenwich, Connecticut. Some of the selected pictures were taken in California, Connecticut, Florida, and New York between the years of 1996 and 2003 you can see the pictures on this web site in the wildlife portfolio. Current projects include photographing families and weddings in the New York tri-state area and Southwest Florida. David is also putting together a series of flower photographs for future exhibition, some of this work can be previewed in the flower portfolio on this web site. David is twenty nine years old and resides in New York and Florida. |
