| Thomas Hurlbut received his classical training in photography from the University of Connecticut where he earned the distinguished Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.
His study of fundamental photographic principles including
color harmony
composition
lighting
alternative film techniques
... led to his passionate pursuit of custom printmaking.
He is respected by his colleagues for his technical expertise of contemporary darkroom methods, and offers lectures on the subject to aspiring photographers.
Tom serves on the boards of the Professional Photographers of New England and the Connecticut Professional Photographers Association, where he has exhibited his award-winning artistry.
